Gathered under the banner of "Billion Soul Harvest " (the Harvest of a Billion Souls), a remarkably generous Korean Pentecostal movement, these missionaries from countries and cultures at opposite ends of the spectrum defined their goal for the coming years: to reach one-eighth of the world's population with the Gospel by 2033.
From Papua to Peru, Japan to Jordan, Sweden to Sudan, they came to share their mission statement. A veritable patchwork of projects and testimonies, each more creative and inspiring than the last, were presented.
From the opening night, the joy was palpable. After a colorful and loud time of worship, the parade of national flags brought to Olivier Fleury's mind the passage from Revelation 7:9:
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes...”
He was overcome with emotion. This moment was not just a parade of flags. It was a foreshadowing of heaven, a preview of this great multitude representing people from every nation, gathered around the Lamb.
Generations Z and Alpha: A Wind of Fire!
On the second evening, around sixty children and teenagers aged 8 to 18, dressed in white T-shirts, set the room alight with energetic choreography combining hip-hop and manga culture. After a standing ovation, as they caught their breath, Olivier joined them to pray for them in French.
He asked God to breathe a wind of revival into these Generations Z and Alpha, to protect them in this ever-changing world, and to send them on mission. Once they had left the stage, Olivier gave an emotional testimony about how, in Sydney in 2007, he received the vision to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of the Resurrection. A deep silence fell: you could have heard a dragonfly fly, as they say here in the Far East.
Then, in an atmosphere of contemplation, he invited the entire assembly to allow themselves to be visited by the glory of God, to receive visions and revelations. Kneeling, the words struggle to come out. Waves of love overwhelm him and tears flood his eyes, as well as those of many others. At that moment, God's peace, love, and glory were palpable, as was His Spirit working in each of them in calmness... and in power.
JC2033 is growing for 2033
We formed a wonderful team of JC2033 ambassadors:
-
Priscilla Tin (Hong Kong, China), who was in charge of the booth, which was very popular after Olivier Fleury's two presentations on stage
-
Jacqueline Kenney (Perth, Australia)
-
Madan Shah (Kathmandu, Nepal)
After these various appearances on stage to share God's heart concerning the mission, many participants flocked to learn more about JC2033, and several even expressed a desire to become ambassadors.
Once again, as in the previous week in Seoul, almost all the speakers mentioned 2033 as the goal for the fulfillment of their mission.
What about you?
Do you also want to join the cloud of witnesses from all nations, proclaiming in unity this beautiful message: Christ is Risen! He is truly Risen!
