Why?
Almost 2000 years ago, between Jerusalem and Emmaus, two disciples had an encounter that marked them for life. To prepare for the celebration of the 2000 years of the resurrection of Christ, JC2033 invites you to walk on this road so significant for all Christians!
- This walk will be preceded by two days in Jerusalem, in the traditional places of the events of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
- We want to walk with Christians from Jerusalem and meet the communities on the paths of Emmaus, visiting the various places identified with Emmaus: Motza, Abu Gosh, Nicopolis and El Qubeybe.
- The walk will be marked by times for sharing and praying.
- As in 2020 we hope that these days will be a rich time of fellowship between Christians coming from different churches and countries.
- Living Easter time in Jerusalem and on the Emmaus Way is a special experience which focuses on the heart of Christian faith. This walk is also a spiritual resourcing.
